FerroBio Iron Hydroxide Powder
Metal & Catalyst Resources is the exclusive US agent for The FerroBio Group, who mine and process high-quality Iron Hydroxide powders for anaerobic digestion and biogas desulfurization applications. FerroBio products have proven themselves to be highly effective at removal of Hydrogen Sulfide in anaerobic digesters and biogas plants using food waste, dairy manure, pig manure, and chicken manure, as well as in municipal waste plants and water treatment sites.
FerroBio is a natural, OMRI (Organic Materials Review Institute) Certified Iron Powder, made of functional iron hydroxides and iron oxides, that is used to control Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S) in biogas and anaerobic digestion plants. Upon reaction with Hydrogen Sulfide, FerroBio generates Iron Sulfide & pure Sulphur, which are helpful additives enhancing the properties of fertilizers.
FerroBio is easy to use, non-toxic, non-corrosive, and non-hazardous, helping generate high-quality compost that enhances all types of fertilizers. FerroBio is 100% natural, comes straight from the mine, and contains naturally occurring trace-elements of Cobalt (Co), Copper (Cu), Manganese (Mn), Molybdenum (Mo), Nickel (Ni), Potassium (K), Selenium (Se), & Zinc (Zn), which all positively impact the biology of the digestate in anaerobic digestion and biogas plants. In some cases, these trace-elements allow plant operators to reduce or remove investments in additional trace-elements, making FerroBio an extremely efficient & economical choice.
We have three grades of product: standard FerroBio, fast-acting FerroBio+, and FerroBio Ammonia, which is excellent for reducing Ammonia, in addition to Hydrogen Sulfide removal, in poultry manure digesters and food waste digesters. Material is held in US stock and can be shipped in biodegradable 20kg bags or in 1-ton supersacks, depending on customer preference.
